Rest Days

We have decided that we don't want to go out on weekends unless there is something special that we want to go to and so we will do cleaning,  mooch about the house, maybe go for walks but mainly anything that keeps us away from crowds.  We were exhausted after our travel days and our outing to Del Mar and so we took it easy Saturday.  We got a visit from a hummingbird in the morning, the first one we have seen on our travels.  I was too slow to get a pic.
Ryan arrived in the afternoon after work and the boys worked on the bronco and between them fixed the windscreen wiper on the motorhome.  Together they managed to get the spring back in, yay that is one less thing to worry about.  We had some dinner and then watched some old videos that I had converted to DVD's of when Ryan was small.  They were quite comical.
On Sunday Bryan went out and got a paper and some mosquito spray for me.  The mosquitos and other little gnats have decided they really like me and so I am suffering from numerous bites.  It got so bad that I didn't even want to go out.  There is no water here so they seem to be coming from the tree that is by us and the grass, who knows????  I have only seen two mosquitos, one of which I killed.  I know there will now be hundreds coming to his funeral........
Monday,  aha the weekend has finished.  We went to the Navy Base here and got our food shopping and had a general look around.  We were expecting our mail to be forwarded and it was due to be delivered today.  As there was an important letter we were waiting for we went to the office and asked about it.  There was no sign of it.  The tracking information updated at night to say it had been delivered at noon!!!!
Tuesday - We called the office first thing this morning and our mail had been found, phew!!!  Bryan went to get it and when he came back told me we had to move our site for our remaining two days, so we had to pack up and move along 2 spots.  Very inconvenient!!!  Even more so when no one had arrived in our original spot before it got dark.  Today is our one week anniversary, it's one week since we left Pahrump and started our adventures.  It feels like a lot longer as so much has happened, some good and some bad.  Looking forward to more adventures. We made some phone calls and booked into a park at Lake O'Neill which is part of US Marine Base, Camp Pendleton.  It's about an hour north of here but was the best we could get at a reasonable price.  There is no internet so we will have to see if our hotspot will work there or not, if not we will have a lot of catching up to do. We will stay there at least a week and maybe longer.  I want to try and get through Labor Day weekend and then hopefully the parks won't be so full. They don't have full hookups after a week but we can get water/electric.  I am a bit worried with it being a lake and will be curious about the mosquitos.  I really thought my skin was tough enough that they wouldn't be interested.  They must be very desperate, ha!! ha!!
Once we had got that arranged we went out to the bank and to look at some different storage options at Target.
We saw these "trolley escalators" at Target.

I have heard about these but never actually seen or used one before, another first!!!
We ended up buying some cubicle storage and a couple of TV tables.  We are going to get rid of our coffee table as it is really too big for the motorhome and is a bit of a pain every time we move.
Well, that's about it for now.  Take Care  :)
