Biking, Beaches, Planes, Back to Louisiana & a Birthday

Tuesday March 24th, 2015

After our day out yesterday we stayed in today.  We decided to take our new bikes out for a ride around the park.

We rode along some of the trails and then by the beach where we stopped and admired the view.  We love this place, it is so relaxing.

Who wouldn't want to go exploring here.

The marina in the background, all part of the campground.

I like this picture
We saw a group of ducks/birds swimming along.  They would all dive and swim underwater at the same time and then emerge together further along.  I took a VIDEO of them. If anyone can identify these I would love to know.

Today is our eldest granddaughter LeeAnn's 13th birthday.  Where did the time go, she is now a teenager.  HaPpY HaPpY Birthday LeeAnn.

As today was our last day here, Bryan went to the Naval Aviation Museum on the base at Pensacola.
This F-14 greets you as you enter the museum
This is a T-33. This was the first jet aircraft type Bryan worked on in the Air Force
F-4. While in the Air Force Bryan spent 8 years working these aircraft.

On the way home he stopped and took some pictures around the park here.

The next three pictures are old WW2 buildings.

The other campground here that doesn't have full hookups only 30amp Electric and water.

One of the small cabins that they rent for $40/night.  It is just one room and from what we could see had a bed, sink, microwave, table and couch.

Our time at Pensacola came to an end today and we headed back to Louisiana.  It will be good to see Mom again but I'm not looking forward to the doctors visits.  Still lets get everything sorted out and we can hit the road again.

The weather wasn't that good and it rained a lot of the way.
Crossing the Alabama state line
High long bridges over the water
Entering Mississippi in the rain
Louisiana is a blur and it's still raining
The rain stopped soon after we crossed the border and we made it safely back to Lakeside RV Park in Livingston, Louisiana.

Friday March 27th -  Tuesday March 31st, 2015

We spent the next few days visiting with mom and taking it easy.

LeeAnn & Aimee went to a girl scout camp at Goose Island State Park over the weekend and Brenda took this lovely picture of them.

On the 30th I (Sue) had my follow up appointment with the hematologist.  My iron levels had risen to just below normal.  I wanted to tell her that I am never normal but didn't think she would appreciate my sense of humor.  She still wants me to schedule the colonoscopy to try and find out what caused the anemia.  So I scheduled an appointment with the gastroenterologist on April 2nd to see about a colonoscopy, ugh!!!

Well, that's it for March from Livingston, Louisiana.  Take Care.
