The Australian Open tennis starts today for two weeks so I will be watching Andy Murray whenever he plays. However, I will be following Kyle Edmund and Johanna Konta very carefully as well.

Bryan has been wanting to visit the small aerospace museum that is only 10 minutes away from the park. So today was the day he finally went to
San Diego Aerospace Museum.

Bryan's mom was having surgery today on her knee. We heard that she was out of surgery and doing well although it took her a while to wake up from the anesthetic. Bryan's brother is with her to help care for her for a few days until she can get a little mobile again.
We decided to go with Christina and Trystan to
San Diego Zoo. You might remember that Christina, Trystan and I went back in November but this time we took Bryan with us. Bryan took over 400 pictures, so here is a small sampling of them. I think we got a picture of every animal in the zoo but there are too many to post them all here!!

| This one was watching his brother(the one above) |
The zookeeper told us that they had to separate the brothers as they will fight if in the same enclosure. The one watching was very angry and you could tell just wanted to get his brother in the next enclosure. I'm not sure why he was so upset, his brother got the raw end of the deal and a much smaller enclosure!!!

| Haven't noticed the white markings on the back of the ears before |
 |
| Baby hippopotamus peeking over the rock |

It's two years ago today that we had to put CoCo down. We miss her but will probably not get another dog while we are traveling. Here she is at the last campground we were at with her. She loved the beach but not the water!!
Tinnie and Trystan came over for dinner and to visit.

Kai got STAR pupil and Bailey got 15/15 on his Math test. So it was a good day all round on the other side of the pond.

Bryan became the duck "wrangler" at the park today as he followed a duck that was walking around with a fish hook in his wing until a ranger could come and rescue it. It lead him a merry chase through three loops of the park but all ended well.
We had this bird visit and sit on the flagpole.
Last picture of the month of Trystan.

I have been watching the tennis for the last two weeks. Unfortunately, Kyle Edmund got defeated in the 1st round but he played well and eventually lost in 5 sets. He will work on getting fit to be able to last longer in these 5 set matches I'm sure. Johanna Konta played exceptionally well for an unseeded player and caused a few upsets to reach the semi finals before losing to Angelique Kerber who ended up beating Serena Williams in the final to win the championship.
Last but definitely not least was Andy Murray who reached the final only to lose to Djokovic again. I recorded the Australian Open Mens final as it started just after midnight and got up very early to watch it. He fought hard but the turmoil of the last two weeks finally caught up with him and he needed to get home to his wife Kim and await the birth of their child. Once again it was an enjoyable two weeks of tennis with many late nights and early mornings watching tennis from Australia.
The last day of the month was raining and very windy again. We lost power for a few hours at the park. Our hummingbird came for food but was hanging onto the feeder for dear life as the wind was blowing so hard. I'm sorry to say it made me laugh, it was a sight to see. Unfortunately, I wasn't able to get a picture of him but here's one Bryan took earlier this month that I love. The hummingbird and bee learning to share.
Oops, I found two videos of the wind and hummingbird. The first
VIDEO shows the hummingbird and the wind, the second
VIDEO is slightly longer and shows the hummingbird feeding before the wind finally beats him.
Until next month, take care.
