We stopped and Bryan had a hotdog which was included in the price of the cruise and he said was very good.
The Seaplex transformed from basketball courts to paddleball to soccer to bumper cars and probably many other things. |

We walked back to the North Star as we had booked to go up in it while we were in port. I thought it would be better to see over the city rather than out at sea when it's just ocean, although you go out over the side out in the ocean, whereas in port we just went up!!!! I was fine with that, although they say you get a better overall view of the ship when you go out.
Waiting for it to come back down and then it will be our turn to go up there.

I enjoyed it, Bryan not so much as we had quite a few people in that capsule, all cramming to get pictures. Glad it was free, don't think I would bother to pay for it.

Deck 6 - Cabins, Library, The Workshop
The Library was above 270 and accessed from there.

The Library was a nice quiet area with nice seating, views out of the windows if you wanted. There were books, puzzles and a couple of computers you could use in this area. There were never many people here whenever we went through.

The Two70 theater had some wonderful seating down by the large windows that gave you great views outside and of the showroom floor.

Looking down on the showroom at 270.

There was a small cafe at the entrance to 270 where you could get sandwiches, soup, desserts most of which were included in the cost of the cruise.
I posed behind this sculpture. There were some interesting artworks on the ship. I loved this one but I'm not sure why.
Here's the description of this piece....
"As a sculptor, the artist is interested in human beings, especially the body. His classic sculptural forms, in conjunction with his use of contemporary letters, tell a story. For Zyga, letters are works of art, as their origin and destination are both ambiguous and fascinating."

Pods and couches, yes I tried sitting in the pod but I had trouble getting back up out of it, and we were both in hysterics which didn't help. Fortunately there was no-one else around, phew!!!
The lifeboats were on deck 5.
The Via was a walkway where there were restaurants and seating areas. We sat in the area below when we first boarded the ship and were waiting to get into our cabin. It was a good place to people watch.

We didn't try any of the speciality restaurants, which were an additional cost, as the menus didn't appeal to us. Sorry but too "fu-fu" for our taste.
We loved the Schooner Bar and the pianist Perry Grant.

Deck 4 was always busy. The hub of the ship with different bars, music, food, shops, Guest Services, to name a few. We got our hot chocolate sachets and fresh cookies here, to take back to the room for our nightcap. Yes, we are a couple of old fogies!!!
The Music Hall is the only picture I got, although you can see pictures of this deck on the
Coronation Blog.
Deck 3 - Music Hall, Casino Royale, The Grande Restaurant, Chic Restaurant
Deck 3 was where the dining rooms were, that we ate our main meals at.
There were pictures in the elevators. Here's an example of a couple of them.

We enjoyed our day on the ship and all too soon it was time to leave Cherbourg.
Next stop Le Havre, where we will visit the Normandy Beaches, American Cemetery & the Bayeaux Tapestry.
