We quickly got settled into our camphost routines. We were the only hosts for the first four days, and as it was the end/beginning of the month it was quite hectic. Especially as it was all new to us, ha!!ha!!
Our first test was when a lady came knocking on our door as her electrical pedestal was hot, and she had lost power. Eeeekkkk!!! Bryan went to look. She had already unplugged her RV. He called our manager and they determined between them that the 50amp was not working, but the 30 amp was. She was able to plug into that and all was well. The 50 amp got fixed the next day.
We moved twice more before we got the site we wanted. Patience is key!!!

We managed to see one of Trystan's T-Ball games. I love watching the kids play, they are so cute.

The other couple who were joining us as camp-hosts arrived, and we agreed on a 5 day on/ 5 day off schedule.

We were invited to an award ceremony where Ryan was awarded his air-wings. He had asked his Dad to pin them on him, which was a great moment for all of us.

We have been spending our days "working" and making routine doctor check ups (part of the joys of growing old).
Thanksgiving was spent with Ryan, Christina & Trystan and they cooked a wonderful dinner for us again. We provided the pies.

After dinner it was time to decorate the tree.

We found a leak under the floor from the shower and toilet, and decided that while the shower was taken out and we needed to replace the floor we would decorate and put new flooring in.
Here's some before and during the process. After pictures will be posted when it is finished!!

| Bathroom with cabinet doors removed for painting |
Bryan & Ryan took the shower out. We discovered it is quite difficult working in such a confined space, with very little space to store things away. I painted the base cabinets and the back wall that I wouldn't be able too reach once the shower was put back in.
The toilet in this first stage was also a storage area.
The underfloor was replaced where needed and new flooring was put in under the shower. Ryan made a new base to cover the pipes.
There was a leak when they were putting the shower pan back in which took us a couple of days to figure out. Eventually Bryan got some marine sealant that they use on boats to seal the bottom of the shower pan and that fixed the problem.
We got the shower back in and functional.
I painted the cabinets and walls in the bathroom and toilet. The first attempt didn't stick, as I hadn't sandpapered the surface enough and the first primer coat started to peel off. We borrowed Ryan's sander and Bryan sanded everything again. It took one coat of primer and 3 coats of paint. The cabinets were easier than the walls, as the walls had a shiny finish and tape in certain places. We took great care sanding as the tape would tear off if we were not careful. There were also borders that had to be removed that had been glued on. It was a tedious job but eventually got finished.
Bryan & Ryan started to lay the flooring. This was not an easy task but they persevered and got the bathroom and toilet done.
We delayed doing the rest of the hallway and kitchen until after Christmas. We had been doing all this work in between working at the campground and were exhausted.
Oh and the other couple who were camphosts with us decided to buy a house and left. Was it something we said!!!! Fortunately there were another couple in the park who accepted the position and the transition was seamless. We knew as soon as we met them that we would make a great team.

I said I wasn't going to decorate for Christmas as we were in such a mess, but I couldn't resist getting the decorations out.
We have a new addition this year, a Gnome Christmas Tree. We just couldn't resist him. His name is "Jingles".
We worked and got ready for Christmas. It was nice not doing any decorating/flooring but the house was a worksite and we knew we would be busy again after Christmas.
