Next stop was Land's End and the most southernmost point of the UK.

You had to pay to have your photograph taken by the post, which had changed since the last time we were here in December 1988. The whole place has actually become very commercialized unfortunately.
2024 Note added: The photographer is no longer available at the sign, his contract ended, but you can take your own photos there now. At least that is my understanding. Yippee!!

It had been a long day but on our way back to the farm we stopped to take pictures of St. Michael's Mount. Access is dependent on tides. You can walk across at low tide but have to go by boat when the tide is high. We were quite happy to see it from afar. We have plans to visit Holy Island on the North East coast of England next month, and will have to watch the tides to drive there.

Traffic was busy on the way back to the farm. They are widening roads and that combined with rush hour and tourist traffic meant it was slow going. Luckily we weren't in any rush!!

It was a busy but interesting day with our visits to the Minack Theatre and Lands End and seeing St. Michaels Mount.
Tomorrow we will take it easy, do our packing and cleaning before moving on to Devon on Friday.
