We got packed up, filled up with propane and water and emptied all the other tanks and got on the road to Daytona. We noticed that our 110 electric wasn't working as we were going along and there was a moment of panic as we would need it to work with the inverter at Daytona. We stopped at a rest area and Bryan quickly found out that the inverter was not on, so it was a quick fix.
After getting stuck in some roadworks which slowed us down we eventually reached
Daytona International Speedway. They inspect all the RV's as they are entering and the police had dogs who went around the outside of the motorhome and car before we were allowed to continue to the next stage. A lady put our purple (love the color)wristbands on, which covered our entrance for the next 7 days and then looked in all the basement compartments and inspected the interior of the motorhome before we were allowed through the tunnel into the infield.

This will be home for the next 7 days, lot 240 in the Horseshoe Infield parking, and I'm sure we will be joined by more motorhomes.

Tonight we listened to the Nascar Whelan Modified Tours and K&N Pro Series races. They were on another part of the track but we were content to just listen.
We are very glad to be here and can't wait to explore tomorrow.
