After the Cave of the Winds, we purchased two, all day, trolley tickets at $3 each for the Niagara Scenic Trolley. This is a hop on, hop off trolleybus that takes you around the park.
Here's a LINK to Niagara Falls State Park Guide & Map which shows you everything in the park, including trolley stops & car parks. You could park at the Discovery Center for free and get on the trolley from there if you wanted. We just wanted to get to the Cave of the Wind as early as possible to make sure we got tickets and didn't have to wait too long.
We got on the trolley at Cave of the Winds very quickly and off we went. The following pictures were all taken from the trolley. The red dotted line on the map above shows the route.
The Canadian Rapids
The Trolley was a good way to get around and see what you wanted to do. We limited ourselves to staying on the trolley as we knew we had a busy day tomorrow on a tour of the Canadian side and we didn't want to wear ourselves out too much.
We also still wanted to explore Luna Island and Terrapin Point on Goat Island today.
There is so much to see on this side of Niagara Falls that we could definitely come back and see Prospect Point and Three Sisters Island. Maybe the Discovery Center & Aquarium.

The first stop was were you got off to walk over to Three Sisters Island.
The second stop was at a parking area at the far East end of Goat Island.
We then went towards the bridge and off of Goat Island and onto the mainland.
The third stop was by the Visitor centre at Prospect Point.
The fourth stop was at a parking area at Prospect Point.
The fifth and last stop before starting the return trip was Niagara Gorge Discovery Center & Aquarium of Niagara.
We stayed on the trolley and started the return trip.

The following pictures were taken along the road between the pedestrian bridge and the vehicle bridge, before crossing back over to Goat Island.
The final two pictures are crossing the bridge back to Goat Island.
We also still wanted to explore Luna Island and Terrapin Point on Goat Island today.
