The morning after the day before. We got up and moving, in time for breakfast with the bride and groom and other wedding guests. It was a nice full English/Welsh Breakfast but we were missing the groom. He did make a brief appearance but apparently was the worse for wear. It was good to see that he had enjoyed himself.
After breakfast we got our things together ready to leave. I took a couple of pictures in the room.
Ryan watching Christina and Trystan outside.
There they are exploring the gardens.
We then checked back into our hotel before we decided to visit "Nanny's Castle" as named by Kai after Bryan & I visited it with them previously.
Castell Coch is like a fairy tale castle and has an European feel to it.

It is one of my favourite castles, it's only small but so much detail. We got a snack to eat on the way back to the hotel where we rested for a couple of hours.
Ray & Julie came over to the hotel and we had dinner together in the restaurant there. We said our goodbyes as they were going back to London the next day.
The weather wasn't that good but we had to make the most of it. We visited the National Showcaves Centre for Wales. As well as caves here, there are over 200 life-size replicas of dinosaurs, and we knew Trystan would love that.

We walked toward the next cave.
There are three caves here and you have to go through them in a certain order which was a bit unfortunate as the second one was a steep climb to the entrance and Bryan's knee wan't cooperating today. The third one he could have made but they wouldn't let us do that one until we had done the second. He stayed behind while the rest of us explored the second cave.
I didn't get so many pictures of this cave as Bryan wasn't with us and I was looking at the caves rather than taking pictures. I did get a VIDEO going through Cathedral Cave though.
We started to walk to the third cave but there were some more steep steps and we all decided we had seen enough for the day. The weather wasn't really cooperating either. We walked back toward the entrance and found Bryan. It was a very interesting place to visit and the dinosaurs and caves kept us all happy. We went back to the car park and started the journey back to Bridgend.
We drove Ryan, Christina & Trystan back to London and stayed in a Premier Inn near Gatwick Airport for the night. The traffic was bad and it took us longer to get there than we thought it would. We were all tired when we got there, but we found somewhere to have dinner and then we all crashed for the night.

We dropped R,C & T off at the airport and swopped our rental car for a cheaper one for the next week. "Jazz" is the name of our good friends Johnny & Kathy's dog, and so the name of the car brought a smile to our faces.
We decided to drive on the back roads back to Wales and not the motorway that had a lot of traffic jams on the way yesterday. It meant we went through a lot of small towns. The one below had us going round in circles as we couldn't find the road that the GPS was telling us to take.
After three attempts we finally figured out that the "road" we had to take was through a car park, just on the left ahead in the picture below. I don't remember the name of the town, it was very pretty but boy, were we glad to get out of it!!!!
Lots of country lanes.
Ascot, where the Ascot Horse Races are held.
We eventually joined the motorway and headed across the bridge into Wales.
We arrived back at Ians house for the rest of our stay. We are going to do some day trips around the South of Wales.
