UK Trip 2019 - #4 - The Wedding Day had arrived..............

Saturday July 20th, 2019
We were up bright and early. Kris had arranged for a hairdresser to come and do my hair at the hotel. That was one less thing for me to worry about.  She arrived on time and was quickly done.  Everyone went for breakfast while I was getting my hair done and I went afterwards.

Christina had done my nails for me last night, and was doing my makeup for me today.  I felt very pampered as if I was the bride.  Thank You.

We got ready and soon it was time to leave.  Remarkably there was no rain and none on the forecast.  Our prayers were answered.

We arrived at the Coed-y-Mwstyr hotel in plenty of time and sat and relaxed while waiting.  We met up with other guests, some we haven't seen for quite a while.

The hotel and gardens are lovely.

We managed to snag Kai on his way by for a quick picture.

As we entered the wedding room a harpist was playing.  It was lovely and very romantic.

We waited patiently until the bride arrived and the ceremony started.

After the ceremony we grabbed a table with a window view while we waited for the pictures to be taken, and the room to reopen for the reception.  Drinks were available and I enjoyed a Pimms.

I love this picture of some of the children.  Looks staged but I don't think it was, at least not by us.

Trystan decided to run up the hill under the watchful eye of Great Uncle Ray.  He thinks his Gt. Uncle is amazing by the way. Great Aunt Julie is not half bad either!!!

We were on a table named in Mum's memory. All the tables were named after family members. Such a lovely touch.

After a lovely dinner we had a fantastic DJ who had us all up and dancing. It was such fun and helped by a few drinks!!!

We were ushered outside while they cleared the tables and setup for the evening reception.  It was nice to just relax and chat.  Notice the coffee!!

Trystan really got into it and had the whole dance floor to himself at one time, breakdancing.  He really enjoyed himself.

Here's a VIDEO of Ryan & Trystan dancing.
Another, although slightly scary picture of me and the boys
We left the party at 11pm to go to bed after an amazing day, which we will never forget.  I'm sure the party went on long after that, and had some interesting stories to tell but we will never know.  We were happy and content and we slept well.

Well done to Ian & Kris for putting together such a fabulous wedding, for yourselves and all of the guests.  I am so proud of both of you for overcoming the hurdles in the days leading up to the wedding, and pulling it off in style.  Thank you for including me in the early stages when we looked at wedding venues, which was great fun as well.  It's a day we won't forget for a long while.
