Success Lake COE, Tule, California

May 13th, 2016

Trystan is 8 months old today, wow!!!
He is so happy!!

Here he is just chillin!!
We left Desert Rat RV Park and headed north west.

These planes were at Mojave Air & Space Port where testing for the private space rockets  including Virgin Galactic has taken place. Did you know that I love Richard Branson?  I would love to meet him although I'm not sure what I would say to him.  He's not afraid to try anything and seems a genuine human being.  The wind turbines are plentiful in California, a great energy resource.

Onions, anyone!!!
There were hundreds of these oil derricks that were part of a Conoco oil field.

We arrived at Success Lake Corp Of Engineers Campground(COE), Tule, Ca., where we are going to stay for 2 nights.  We get into COE campgrounds for half price as I have an America the Beautiful Senior Pass.  Quite the deal at $10 for a lifetime pass that gets you into National Parks and some other attractions for free and half price camping at some parks. This park cost us $15 a night instead of $30.  Personally, I wouldn't pay $30 especially as it has no sewer hook ups.  The COE campgrounds are usually by a man made lake and are beautiful.  This one was no exception, however the grass needed cutting.

We went for a walk as the sun was beginning to set.
Our view from the motorhome
These birds were sitting on the wires watching us

These geese were very noisy
Looks like this area is flooded.
Speedboats racing
The sun setting behind the mountains
Birds in flight
Large Crow keeping an eye on us
until he got bored and flew away

Fishing
This tree was an unusual shape
Tomorrow we will be in search of Giant Sequoias!!!!
