We had a quiet Independence Day. I usually don't celebrate being British but if we are invited to a party it would be rude to not accept wouldn't it!!!!!
I did decide that I would help Bryan celebrate by cooking a Crab Boil. As I haven't made one of these before it should be interesting.

We didn't see any fireworks and that's ok. The Crab Boil was edible but not the best. Not sure if I will do it again, maybe with a couple of changes.

July 6th, 2016
Today was quarter final day at Wimbledon. Andy Murray was playing Jo Wilfred Tsonga and I wanted to watch. However, it was also a moving day and we had to be out of our site by 10am. I watched what I could and then we moved to a parking lot and sat so I could watch the rest. Unfortunately, Andy decided today was the day he would take 5 sets to win and so it went on for a while. We ended up leaving just after midday once he had won, yay!!!
Bryan took some more pictures around the base while I was watching tennis.
This was the Veterans Clinic and was the busiest place on base!!!

Crossing into Washington. Lily will get her Washington sticker for traveling in Washington State.
We did cross back into Oregon but I didn't see the sign. Here's the Columbia River.
We will spend the next week at Ainsworth State Park and explore the Columbia River Gorge.
When we arrived we discovered the 50amp electric wasn't working at our site. The rangers came out to have a look but couldn't fix it and said they needed to get a part which could be a couple of days. They, and the camp host, offered several other sites, which we had a look at, but ultimately decided to stay where we were as we determined we wouldn't get a satellite signal at any of them. We had already maneuvered (it was very tight) into this site and we really didn't want to move. We will put up with 30amp until they can fix it.
Trystan got a new outfit and he loves to climb!!!

ReplyDeleteNow Brenda, you know we know it's your birthday as we always send you a card and try and call. I do apologize for not mentioning it. One of the hazards of writing this so long after the fact is that I tend to go from the pictures I have. Once again, sorry. Just for the record my birthday is June 25th. :)
