Heading South to Crooked River Ranch, Oregon

July 13th, 2016

Trystan is 10 months old today.

Today we will start to leisurely make our way back to San Diego and will take an inland route back.
Goodbye to the Columbia River Gorge
Heading south from The Dalles on the 197

It seemed like a never ending road

and then continuing south on the 97 where we found Cow Canyon Rest Area.  There's Lily at the top of the world!!!  We had lunch before continuing on our way.

We arrived at River Rim RV Park at Crooked River Ranch, Nr. Terrebonne, Oregon.  We will be here for a week.  It was a little out of the way and seemed quiet.

Bryan took some pictures from the campground.  The campground is quite basic but there is a golf course next door which is open to campers.

As the sun started to go down it reflected off of the red rocks that surrounded us.  There is a stream in the canyon behind us and we will go and find that another day.

We're hoping to have a relaxing week here with a couple of day trips to the surrounding areas.
