After leaving the lighthouse we drove to Fort Zachary Taylor State Park. It wasn't a long drive, everything in Key West is relatively close together and bicycles are really the way to go. Although, even though it doesn't look like it in the picture below, the streets are a little crowded so walking may be even better.
After driving through the waterfront park we eventually found the entrance to Fort Zachary Taylor State Park. I'll let the pictures do the talking.

A lot of the forts we have seen are very similar structures but they are still fascinating to explore. The colors from the water over the years makes for some good pictures.

While Bryan was exploring more of the inside I went up on the Battery.
There's the Disney cruise ship again.

We left the fort and drove past more wall paintings.
Our next stop was the Southernmost Point in the USA or should I say drove by. There was nowhere to park and there was a long line of people waiting to get their picture taken there. We were satisfied that we had seen it and with a driveby picture. 👍

| Not sure what this building was |
We decided to get something to eat and go back to the mobile home we were staying in, and relax the rest of the day. We did call the maintenance people as there was barely a trickle of water coming out of the shower. This turned out to be quite a long visit while one guy tried to work it out, and then another came to help him. Eventually after replacing parts, which they had to go and find, it was fixed.
Our resident rooster came to see us as Bryan was sitting on the back steps.

That's it for today, it was hot and we were tired after walking in the heat and the drive yesterday. Tomorrow we head back to Fort Lauderdale, so we have another long drive.
