Bridging the Gap - Leaving the UK, Preparing for Summer Trip

Tuesday July 30th, 2019
We checked out of our hotel, popped in to say a final goodbye to Ian, Kris, Bailey & Kai, and headed back to London for our overnight stay, before getting our plane back to the States tomorrow morning.

We saw this sign for lawnmower races, that's something we haven't seen.

We stayed at the same hotel that we had been at last week when we brought Ryan & Christina back.  This time though I had found a nearby fish and chip shop, the Ocean Trawler, that sold Skate.  My favourite fish and getting harder and harder to find.  I'll be sure to come here again if we fly to Gatwick.

Wednesday July 31st, 2019
We were up early to have breakfast and then drive to the airport.  We dropped our rental car off.  I have to say Gatwick is not the easiest for picking up and returning rental cars.  There was no shuttle and you had to maneuver your way through the terminals with all your luggage.
Everything went smoothly and we were soon on our way back to the USA.
On landing at Orlando we got through customs, picked up our car and drove back to Jacksonville, where we were staying with Ryan & Christina for the night.

Thursday August 1st - Tuesday August 6th, 2019
We got Lily(motorhome) out of storage and settled into our site here at Jacksonville. We had to get our fridge and freezer stocked up and make sure everything was ready to leave on the 7th for our summer trip.  We also visited with Ryan, Christina & Trystan as we won't see them again until the end of October.
On August 6th, our last night, we went over to their house, had Tijuana Flats for dinner and a game of Mexican Train.  We said our farewells to them all.
