Someone else moved out this morning, leaving us a view of the rapids in front of us.
We decided we needed to get out and went to the Visitor Center in Bryson City to get information on the area. It was located in the Swain County Heritage Museum, which was the former courthouse.
The gentleman there helped us with a map and information on the area. He started with waterfalls, which we had already heard about, but he took the time to show us the route on the map and explain the best way to walk the trail. Once he heard we were here for a month he was in his element, and proceeded to give us much more information. He was very helpful and we thanked him before picking up more leaflets.
There is a nice gift shop here as well, which we looked around before going upstairs to the museum.
There were many exhibits displayed.
Bryan & I both said our grandmas had one of these. My nan actually taught me to sew on hers, unfortunately I didn't learn very well.

The exhibits were nicely presented and informative.
Bryan having a rest on the porch of the recreated cabin. He was waiting for me to come and use the spinning wheel there. I told him it looked as though he had been busy chopping wood.

| Deep Creek is where the waterfalls are that we are going to look at, probably later this week. |

The nearest Walmart was 18 miles away near Sylva. Oh well, it would be a nice drive.

Someone else moved out today and so we have no-one in the riverside sites in front of us. In fact the only riverside site occupied was one at the other end, as far away from us as you could get. Yay!!!!

Here's Dan Evans playing Pouille and he won in 4 sets.
Unfortunately Andy Murray lost in 3 sets and looked exhausted and got cramp at the end of it, but it's ok as he managed to get 3 matches in this week, winning the other two. Going back to Challengers was probably a good decision for him and we will wait and see what his next move is.
Tomorrow we are going to Deep Creek to see waterfalls and we might get up early enough to get a look at the Great Smoky Mountains Railroad steam train on it's excursion. See you then.
