Summer of 19 - #3 - Richard Childress Racing Museum

Tuesday August 13th, 2019 - 2 of 2
After leaving the Petty Museum(see previous blog), Bryan went to the Richard Childress Racing Museum.  Here are his pictures from this visit.

There are multiple displays and remembrances to Dale Earnhardt Sr. in this museum, as there should be.

Dale Earnhardt Sr. & Richard Childress

Bryan sitting in Dale Earnhardt Sr. car. His idol. We still remember hearing about the crash that cost him his life at Daytona.  We had been watching the race at home, but had to leave to attend a birthday party for a friends child.  We were listening to the race on the radio in the car, when we heard about the crash and then his death.  We were both in shock and so upset about it.  Such a tragedy.

When Bryan got home, I was watching Andy Murray on my laptop.  He asked why I didn't have it on the TV and I told him I didn't think they would be showing the doubles on there.  He put the TV on, to see if it was on there, and we couldn't get the Tennis Channel.  It took a while to get any channels but there were some that it wouldn't let us access.  We have no idea why, but it's getting very frustrating.  We called Direct Tv and they were no help, saying again that we need to call a technician out ourselves. We called a local technician who gave us some guidelines as to what to look for on the actual dish.  Bryan told him he will look at it tomorrow, and we left it at that.  After a couple of hours, he was scrolling through the channels and we could now get Tennis Channel, and the others we couldn't get before.  Who knows???????  We will see what happens next!!!!!
Oh, Andy Murray won his mens doubles match with Feliciano Lopez.  That made up a little for him losing yesterday to Richard Gasquet, in his first singles match since returning after his hip resurfacing.  I still can't believe he's playing tennis competitively again and pain free.  I'm so happy for him and all of us fans that have been following him since he began.

Let's see what tomorrow brings!!!!!!!!!
