We left our campground at Chattanooga, but I'm sure we will return one day as there are still things to see here.
As we were on the border with Georgia, it was just minutes before we crossed the State line.

As we were on the border with Georgia, it was just minutes before we crossed the State line.
We arrived at McKinney Campground, which is a Corps of Engineers site on Allatoona Lake in Acworth, Georgia.
One of our neighbors was flying the Stars & Stripes. This was the view through our front window, although a tent trailer did arrive later and park down by that fence which blocked the lake a bit from the front.
but we still had this view out of the side window, no blocking that.
The view from our camp site, as the sun started to set.
We went for a walk to explore a little and find a dumpster for our trash. This was a nice site, although there isn't really many bad sites.
Another good one.
Back at our site, we didn't find the dumpster, so will look for it tomorrow or on our way out.

We watched the sun setting from our site.

There we are, we have left Tilly(our car) hooked up because we don't anticipate driving anywhere while we are here.

We had some visitors today. Our niece Nikki, husband Craig and Alan. We hadn't see Nikki since we were in the States, on our honeymoon, in 1991. She has grown up a lot, ha!!ha!! It was lovely meeting her again and her family. Alan is the cutest and we had fun keeping him amused. Hopefully it won't be as long until we see them next time.
Here's the camper van that blocked our front view of the lake. Quite a unique idea, I haven't seen one like this before.
Someone parked their boat by our campsite for the day, but they claimed it later so we didn't suddenly have a boat to keep Lily & Tilly company!!!!

Before we left today, I took a couple of pictures of a canoeist taking an early morning ride. This is a lovely campground and it's a shame there's no sewer hookups or we would stay longer. Hopefully we will be back and visit Nikki and her family again.

The traffic was quite heavy as we approached Atlanta but we got through it ok, and headed toward Twin Oaks Campground in Elko, Georgia, where we have a 3 night stay.
